HM Coastguard Sutton Bridge called to Boston hospital




HM Coastguard Sutton Bridge was called to help a rescue helicopter land at Boston's Pilgrim Hospital.

The Coastguard's Rescue Helicopter has picked up a casualty from the sea at Skegness and transportedthat person to the hospital.

Five officers from Sutton Bridge and colleagues from Wrangle assisted the landing of the helicopter.

One of the many roles of the Coastguard is to check landing sites for emergency helicopters are safe and clean.

The Sutton Bridge unit had been called out earlier this week to help a 16-year-old boy with a broken leg.

The team has also been running a recruitment drive.
