There’s a new barbers in town, and it’s certainly got a sparkle about it.
Diamond Style is due to open later this month in The Crescent in Spalding.
Zana Sheed Rasuli is only 23 but has already worked as a barber in London, and is really looking forward to giving the men of Spalding brand new hairstyles.
Originally from the Iran area of Kurdistan, he was trained by his uncle who runs a barber’s shop there.
Zana said: “Hairdressing is a family tradition for us and I used to really enjoy helping out my uncle.”
Zana moved to the UK seven years ago and hopes that Spalding will be the place where his business can grow.
He said: “This is my first business and I am going to work hard to make it a success.
“I was only young when I worked in the barbers in Kurdistan and London, but now I’ve grown up I want to have my own business and Spalding is where I want to carry on my family tradition.
“I really hope that I can open lots of barber shops and build up a chain in the future.”
The salon will be open six days a week, and four days a week Zana will be joined by his friend, Ame Abubkryy, who has been hairdressing for three years.
There are many barbers and hairdressers in Spalding, but Zana thinks his will be just as good as the rest.
He said: “I’ve got a lot of experience, which I started to get at a young age, and I think that is the key to my success.”
