Gedney Dyke Village Hall held a Christmas buffet with live entertainment for villagers over the age of sixty, along with partners no matter what age.
There was also a Christmas tree donated by Baytree Garden Centre and twinkling lights donated by B&Q.
Shirley Beard said: “This is was the first time anything had been done like this for eight years.
“The turnout was amazing and a great time was had by all. Many thanks to everyone who helped out on the day so much hard work went in to making this a memorable event.
“The intention is for this to be a yearly event and we are working hard at upgrading the hall and making it into a much more viable enterprise.”
The next item for upgrade are the chairs and any donation, however large or small, would be appreciated. If anyone would like to make a donation please contact Shirley on 01406 365209.
