Spalding Town Centre Christmas plans unveiled and date announced for Crowland festive lights switch-on




A host of entertainment has today been announced for this year's Christmas celebrations in Spalding Town Centre.

The Communities Team at South Holland District Council has planned a 'festive day' between midday until 5pm on Saturday, December 8.

This will include Christmas themed street entertainment, carol singing choirs, brass bands and Father Christmas. The man himself will be the special guest at 4.30pm to switch on the Christmas tree lights.

Over at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum on the same day, between 11am-3pm, will be family Christmas fun and crafts for people to make and take away.

Plus, there will be real life reindeer in the gardens and a visit from Father Christmas.

There is a fair from 3.30pm with the switch-on at 5pm. People can enjoy various stalls, barbeque and food and Santa's grotto will be in the former Nikoni's shop in South Street,
