The latest news from South Holland Centre in Spalding.

Here at South Holland Centre we are gearing up for our busiest time of year, and the best bit is the hundreds of excited children who come through the doors.

The big event is the three-week pantomime run of course. This year it is Peter Pan so we are looking forward to Wendy, Peter and John’s adventures in an imaginary Neverland awash with pirates, fairies, Lost Boys, mermaids and ticking crocodiles!

Members of the cast start rehearsing their flying skills next week and we are looking forward to dressing up the entrance theatre and front of house staff – pirate themed! So ahoy me hearties, Peter Pan starts on December 10 and runs through to New Year’s Eve.

In amongst all this is a special Christmas Top of the Poppets morning. These regular family disco events for under 7s and their families or carers have proved a great hit. We set up lots for the little disco divas to do including a range of music and dancing games. As it is Christmas, we are also expecting a visit from a special guest (probably dressed in red and sporting a luxuriant beard).

Come along on December 21 (11am) – just £5 for an hour and half of boogie fun and a little present from Santa.

And we are continuing the family theme all the way through to New Year’s Eve this year.

We have previously been asked whether children can come along to our New Year’s Eve parties – and this year the answer is a definite “Yes”. Family members of all ages are welcome, and we have reduced the ticket price to allow for this. There will be buffet food and disco music for dancing all night, along with some party games for the children and party favours at midnight. So avoid the search for and expense of a babysitter this year and join us for a brilliant family celebration to kick off 2016!
