Gedney Church End pupils in favourite service of the year
Gedney Church End Primary pupils lit up St Mary Magdalene Church with their Christingles and joyful faces.
More than 80 pupils took part, from reception to year six, and the church was filled with parents, grandparents, family and friends.
The school's Natasha Parnell said: "It's our favourite service of the year and it's a wonderful way to end the school year."
Church members were in school in the morning to help children make their Christingles and to explain that they represent Jesus as the Light of the World.
Pupils formed a line on the outside of the pews and, after the Christingles were lit, sang Away in a Manger and Light of Heaven.
Year 6 pupils also read prayers aloud.
The school has thanked church members for their help with the service.
