A Spalding student hopes to raise money for the Epilepsy Society by trekking Machu Picchu in South America.
Chris Douglas (19) has set himself the ultimate challenge of completing the five day trek, and raising £3000 by doing so.
With the help of family and friends, and the generosity of the public, former Spalding Grammar School student Chris has already raised £340, but he is hoping to raise more through a raffle.
He said: “Many people don’t realise just how prevalent epilepsy is in our society. The fact that one in every 100 people suffer and that it’s not very well known in the UK has made taking on the challenge even more important to me.”
The raffle is for two seated tickets to see Leicester Tigers play Northampton Saints on 31st January.
Tickets are £2 each or three for £5.
Anyone interested can contact Chris, who is studying history at Loughborough University, by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
