Animal themed arts and crafts were a major focus of the More Creatures Great and Small weekend at All saints’ Church in Moulton.

Our picture shows Masie, Jess and Henry Dwane decorating butterflies at one of the workshops.

Youngsters could also lend their skills to learning about the feline form, courtesy of Bunty Jarvis who led the Copy Cats workshop, and take part in other arts and crafts workshops and watch demonstrations.

Art buyers were also out in force over the weekend to see works by professional artist Norman Rossiter and others.

Mary Brice, who founded the event, said: “We sold nearly £3,000 worth of paintings.”

All of the pictures fitted in with the weekend’s animal theme.

Visitors also had a chance to take part in a communal art work with Norman and win one of his paintings.

Mary celebrated her 80th birthday last year and devised an All Creatures Great and Small event as her gift to the village and changed the title slightly for this year.

She said: “I have been very happy here and I wanted to give something back.”
