Three worthy causes each received £180 after a charity cricket match at Long Sutton earlier in the summer.

St Nicholas Church in Lutton, the Agape Foodbank and Long Sutton Cricket Club were all presented with cheques at the weekend, following the fundrsiaing game on May 30.

It was the fith year that teams from Long Sutton and neighbouring Lutton had come together for a match and this year the game and presentation were held at Long Sutton Cricket Club’s Paradise Field.

Organisers thanked Solo Blinds, Longstaffs, Long Sutton Co-op, Hovenden Park Golf Club, Boyes and Nene Potatoes for donations and everyone else who played, attended and helped.

On the day, spectators and players enjoyed a great day of cricket in dry weather, and the winning tropy was presented to Long Sutton captain Rob Simpson by South Holland District Councillors Jack Tyrell and Laura Etheridge.

The man of the match award was given to Matt Bull, of Long Sutton.
