The Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity is £400 better off after a donation from the Spalding Ukulele Orchestra.

The orchestra does not charge to perform its many gigs but asks for donations and each year members choose four charities.

Others receiving £400 were The Tulip Suite at the Johnson Hospital, Willow Tree Fen and the Spalding Dementia Café.

At a recent rehearsal at Broad Street Methodist Church in Spalding, members were delighted to meet June Spouncer from the Hearing Dogs charity, accompanied by Maggie and her hearing dog, Rupert, who stole everyone’s heart!
