SPALDING Young Farmers are helping to make life better for terminally ill people in the town after raising £500 at their charity ball.

Proud members of the group presented a cheque to Liz Sneath of the Spalding Hospice Foundation during their meeting at the Castle Sports Complex.

About 200 people attended the Best of British themed ball earlier this year where guests enjoyed fine food, live music, a raffle and after dinner games.

Committee member Oliver Wilson said: “The ball went very well and everyone had a good night.

“The money raised was a bit of a thank you to a local charity and it was nice to give something back.

”A couple of our members have had relatives who have stayed at the hospice where the staff did a fantastic job.”
