CHARLIE Farrow has become the new chairman of Spalding and District Round Table.
The official handover was made during an evening event at town restaurant Amici’s on Monday night.
Mr Farrow said it was an “honour and a privilege” to be asked to be chairman.
It was a sentiment echoed by outgoing chairman Richard Gosling who said he and his wife Stef had thoroughly enjoyed his year at the top.
Meanwhile, Adrian Louis was presented with the honorary president chain. He takes over from Simon Booth.
Presentations were made to Tom Wright in recognition of his superb effort in organising this year’s very successful boxing event at Springfields (the branch’s biggest fundraiser) and to Jonathan Palgrave for his sporting achievements during the year.
It was also noted that the Spalding branch was very healthy, with four new members during the past year.
