Cemetery gates bus stop gets six month trial

The King’s Lynn to Spalding 505 service is to get a temporary bus stop outside Long Sutton’s cemetery gates.

Norfolk Green boss Ben Colson and one of his drivers made a plea for the new stop to help elderly and infirm passengers.

Long Sutton Parish heard county highways have no objections and agreed to sanction a six month trial.

There will a pole to show where the stop is, but no shelter.

Norfolk Green says the road is 34ft wide at that point and there’s room for two cars to pass with a bus parked at the roadside.
