Come and join us tomorrow (10-11.30am) at St John’s Church, Spalding, as we celebrate the talents of the young people who sang at the Spalding Christmas Light Switch On.

The following schools will be singing: Ayscoughfee Hall School, Gosberton House School, Pinchbeck East Church of England Primary School, Spalding Parish School Church of England Day School, Spalding Priory School and St John the Baptist Church of England Primary School.

This year it was decided to hold a prize-giving finale after the annual competition to give the schools another opportunity to showcase their songs. At the end there will be a short presentation and prizegiving.

Thank you to all the teachers, families and friends who spent so much time with the children teaching them the lyrics and moves to the songs for the School Choir Competition, to the sponsors – Mark Jepp from Majestic Bingo, Terry Moore from Bakkavor, Simon Stone from Springfields Outlet Shopping & Festival Gardens, Paul Watkins-Groves from EMG Motor Group and Dave Charlesworth from Alley Catz – and the district council and Spalding Chamber of Commerce for supporting the event. Special thanks go to the Rev Paul Whiteley for allowing the schools to perform at St John’s Church.
