Organisers of Spalding's Catholic community's first parish mission in 21 years want to thank all volunteers who participated in the event.

The mission began at St Norbert's Catholic Primary School, with the theme 'Our Family in Christ' – chosen to reflect the cultural diversity of the parish community.

A spokesman for the Church said: "It was a joy to see children, staff, governors and visitors celebrating and praising God in prayer, song and drama."

Following the school's mission a visiting team to the church stopped by 400 homes during the next week.

"The visiting team wish to convey their thanks to everyone for their warm welcome and their openness," a spokesman added.
