Two-car crash on A52 in Donington leaves at least one person hurt




A patient has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash on the A52 in Donington earlier this morning.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Bicker Road (A52) and Northorpe Road where a blue Chevrolet Spark and black Ford Focus were in collision shortly after 8.25am.

The road was closed for at least two hours while firefighters from three stations, including Spalding and Kirton, as well as paramedics, worked at the scene.

Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release one person from one of the cars.

One casualty was taken to Boston's Pilgrim Hospital by ambulance, but their condition is not yet known.
