Spalding Grammar School held a Caribbean-themed Ball to raise money for an annual cricket tour to Barbados.
This year will be the second time the school has taken Year nine and ten pupils on the cricket tour, but the first time it has hosted a ball for a fundraiser.
The ball was well supported by parents of the students at the school, who booked the live music.
Dress code was black tie, and guests really dressed up for the occasion. They enjoyed a three-course dinner provided by OK Catering, Caribbean-themed welcome drinks and a live steel band called Caribbean Harmonic 2000. A DJ also provided some entertainment.
A member of the PE department said: “We had really positive feedback from our guests.
“I think the ball was really successful and enough money was raised.”
He declined to give the exact total raised.
