South Lincolnshire care home provider Country Court Care is in the running for a national industry award.

The nursing home specialist has been shortlisted along with five other finalists in the Residential Care Provider of the Year category for the 2015 Health Investor Awards.

The winner will be announced during a black-tie dinner and awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on June 13.

Country Court Care runs 15 care homes across the country, including Ashwood Nursing Home and St John’s Care Home, both in Spalding, Beech Lodge Nursing Home in Holbeach St Johns and Holland House Nursing Home in Deeping St James.

Alykhan Kachra, managing director of Country Court Care Group, said: “Our vision is to build on our established family reputation for providing award winning care and to copy this model across new care homes we acquire.

“All of our homes are designed and managed with our residents and families in mind.”

Country Court Care, with headquarters in Peterborough, was established in 1983 with the belief that all older people deserve the best quality of life.

The group has grown from having 200 beds in 2009 to 700 beds in 2014, increasing its presence in the care home sector.

Mr Kachra said: “With an ageing population, there has never been a more important time for the provision of exceptional care and, therefore, we aim to continue with our growth strategy plan over the next ten years.”
