Deeping St James care residents enjoy the beach

The most recent heatwave left some care home residents craving the beach - so the staff made one for them instead!

The residents at Braeburn Lodge in Deeping St James transformed their home into a sandy beach for the day where they enjoyed a special party filled with fun and singing.

Staff at the home were inspired by the hot weather, so out came the beach themed decorations, paddling pool, sandpit, buckets and spades as well as deck chairs, beach balls, banners and bunting.

Activities co-ordinator Samantha McCall, said: “The residents absolutely loved the party, we all did. Parties like this are great for bringing the residents together to socialise.”
