COVID-19: Care home manager raises questions over hospital discharges into care homes at the start of the pandemic




It is hoped lessons have been learned following the handling of hospital discharges into care homes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The manager of one of the area’s care home providers says he hopes there will never be a repeat of what he called a ‘flawed testing system’ at the start of the outbreak.

The NHS had issued guidance on April 16 on the discharge of patients to care homes.
