TRAVEL staff are aiming to provide a sweet treat for hard-pressed families across the area.
The Anglia Co-operative Travel teams at Spalding, Bourne and Market Deeping want to put a smile on the faces of dozens of local children with their Easter eggs appeal.
The three branches are collecting eggs to be distributed to families helped by Home Start South West Lincolnshire – and they are appealing for donations.
Manager Sarah Mantle said: “It’s the first time we’ve run an Easter eggs appeal together and with your help we hope to be able to put a smile on the faces of loads of children.”
If you can donate a chocolate egg, take it to the Anglia Co-operative Travel branches at the Beales department store, Market Place, Spalding, 1 Abbey Road, Bourne, or The Deepings Centre, Market Deeping, by 5pm on Wednesday.
Home Start South West Lincolnshire administrator Sarah Gresty said: “We support families with young children that are struggling in some way.
“In the current climate families on a tight budget can only afford the basics and this appeal is a lovely way to help them provide treats for their children this Easter.”
