CANCER patient Callum Pite has returned to hospital to say thank you to those who helped him on to the road to recovery.

The 13-year-old from Pinchbeck (pictured centre, with friends), handed over £1,240 of equipment including a games console, TV and cash to the Amazon Ward at Peterborough City Hospital. The cash came from a fundraising event last month.

Callum has been treated in Peterborough over the last year for Ewings sarcoma.

Zoe Wilkinson, the hospital’s play service co-ordinator, said: “The donation we received from Callum and his family and friends is greatly appreciated and will especially make a difference for the teenagers on the ward, keeping them distracted and entertained.”
