Hundreds of vehicles each day are exceeding a village’s speed limit by 20mph while others are being damaged due to the poor state of the roads, a meeting was told.

Fed-up villagers in Weston and Weston Hills expressed concerns about the standard and policing of their roads during the annual parish meeting.

Coun Janet Bellamy reported that the parish’s speed indication device had recorded that more than 3,000 vehicles a day use Austendyke Road - and 85% are 10mph over the 40mph speed limit.
