Budding movie makers are being invited to create and submit their very own mini Lego Movies ahead of the arrival of the smash hit film in Spalding.
South Holland Centre together with Beales Department Store have come up with the contest, which will see winning films shown on the big screen before each screening of the real Lego Movie in the Easter holidays.
Winners will also receive Lego worth £25 and four tickets to any screening of The Lego Movie. Create your own Lego movie using stop-motion animation software, which can be downloaded as an app or online, and submit it via YouTube. Films can have any theme and subject matter, but must feature Lego and be no longer than two minutes. Deadline for submissions (in under 14 and 14+ categories) is Monday, April 7 and movies need to be uploaded to www.youtube.com and a link sent to firstname.lastname@example.org with a name, age, telephone number and a title for the film. There will be a gala screening and judging event on Friday, April 11 at 11am and all entrants and their families are invited to attend to see their creations on the cinema screen.
