SANTA had a busy afternoon handing out presents to more than 60 children from his grotto at the Christmas celebrations in Crowland.
Mayor of Peterborough Paula Thacker, who was brought up in Crowland, had the honour of switching on the lights – the highlight of the afternoon.
The celebration, organised by a dedicated team of four women – also included a fun fair and live music from a DJ.
The University Academy Holbeach choir also provided some festive tunes to get everyone in the mood, and local groups held stalls selling a variety of items.
One of the organisers Brenda Stanojevic said: “The whole of North Street was filled with people of all ages and it went very well and everyone enjoyed it.”
