This year’s South Holland Enterprise Day and Business Awards is following Harry Selfridge’s lead in placing a high premium on outstanding customer care.

Just like the founder of the famous London store, firms in the area have the chance to impress judges with their examples of improving and even exceeding the standards of service expected by the people they service.

The Customer Care prize is one of six awards to be presented at a gala day for enterprise and business success in South Holland at Springfields Events and Conference Centre, Spalding, on November 20.

Chattertons Solicitors, which has offices in Spalding, Bourne and seven other towns and cities in Lincolnshire, are sponsoring the Customer Care Award which partner Debbie Hough described as recognition for businesses which “go one step further to ensure customer satisfaction”.

She said: “The South Holland Enterprise Day and Business Awards are important to showcase not only long-standing businesses in the town but also the many smaller, newer businesses that are here.

“The range of awards give people the opportunity to show their appreciation and for local businesses to receive the recognition they deserve.

“Chattertons Solicitors are delighted to be sponsoring the Customer Care Award which recognises businesses that go one step further to ensure customer satisfaction.

“We are proud to sponsor an award that ties in to the ethos of our own customer care model and which is a fitting marriage in a town that is home to many businesses that are also prepared to go the extra mile for their customers.”

Judges including Phil Scarlett, president of Spalding and District Chamber of Commerce, are looking for firms to show how they act upon customer feedback, correct any shortcomings and make their customer care policy better than that of competitors.”

Phil said: “Excellent customer service is the ability of a business to constantly and consistently exceed customers’ expectations.

“This award is sponsored by chamber member Chattertons Solicitors who pride themselves on knowing their clients, their business and delivering a service tailored to their needs.”
