Retailers who have joined forces to make Holbeach a safer place to shop have met officially to launch the scheme.

Representatives from eight of the 12 businesses gathered at Tesco with co-ordinator Stuart Brotherton, Coun Nick Worth, who has been helping with the the changeover of South Holland’s CCTV system to a 24/7 monitoring station in Boston, and Sgt Gareth Boxall.
Mr Brotherton said: “We are hoping retailers will be able to stay in touch via Shopwatch radios from September to coincide with the CCTV changover.
“But word is getting round as Sgt Boxall reports there has been no shoplifting this week so far.”
