Britain’s most decorated Winter Paralympian will add a winning touch to a five-day series of events for businesses in Bourne and the Deepings next week.
Retired skier Jade Etherington (23) is the star guest at the fifth South Kesteven Enterprise Week taking place at various venues across the A15 corridor between March 9 and 13.
Jade, who retired from skiing last year for a career in teaching, celebrates her 24th birthday at the start of the week which features the SK (South Kesteven) Pioneers competition where one young entrepreneur can win £1,000 for the best new business idea.
A spokesman for South Kesteven District Council, organisers of Enterprise Week, said: “The week aims to promote business development and entrepreneurial spirit, stimulate growth and help start-ups with a focus on doing business online and via social media.”
Jade, who won four medals at last year’s Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia, is the keynote speaker at a Total Networking Summit at Stoke Rochford Hall, between Bourne and Grantham.
The Eventus Centre in Market Deeping is staging three events, Come Blog with Me on Monday, March 9, Understanding the Cyber Threat for Business on Wednesday, March 11 and Growing Your Business Online on Thursday, March 12.
