PLANS for two wind turbines to help power a farm at Baston Fen have been approved.
The application by Nicholas Watts for Deeping Fen Farm was given the all-clear by the district council’s planning committee on Tuesday.
A number of objections had been received by the authority but Coun David Wilkinson said he was “quite happy” to move the planning officer’s recommendation to grant permission.
The two 50kw turbines will stand at 39.6 metres high to the tip.
Officers said the turbines were not considered to be of a cumulatively detrimental visual impact next to the Deeping St Nicholas wind farm because of the difference in scale and distance between them.
