A dancewear shop owner has taken a quickstep past the recession by taking shoes to the ballroom.
Kim Carn opened Dancewear Etcetera in High Street, Holbeach, about three years ago.
But tough economic times meant she had to look for a new way to reach her customers.
So Mrs Carn added a new service to her business.
She decided to take her growing range of dance shoes to the ballrooms used by dance enthusiasts the length and breadth of the country.
She said: “A service offered by Dancewear Etcetera is the ability to take the shop on the road.
“To date, the shop has been out and about at numerous locations up and down the country from supporting local social events and classes to attending dance holiday weekends in locations anywhere from the Isle of Wight to Carlisle.”
She said: “Since the opening three years ago the shop has remained open through some difficult times during the recession and is now going from strength to strength.”
The shop caters for all types of dance and carries an extensive range of dance shoes and accessories plus a range of gymnastic wear and fancy dress. It offers pointe shoe fitting for ballet dancers.
Mrs Carn said the business also has a thriving website ordering facility.
She said that dance schools could also order their dance uniform either in shop or via the website on their own dedicated page.
