Moore Thompson and Grimme hold conference for farmers facing Brexit

One of the UK’s leading manufacturers of machinery for planting and harvesting crops, Grimme, is teaming up with accountants, Moore Thompson, to host a free conference to assist farmers with facing the next 12 months.

Faced by the uncertainty of Brexit and the future subsidy regime for farming, the two teams have joined forces to launch the Preparing the Ground Conference, which will take place at Grimme Events Centre, Station Road, Swineshead, on Tuesday January 15.

Starting at 2pm, this event will offer members of the farming community with a chance to hear from experts from Moore Thompson and Grimme, as well as presentations by Simon Eagle from Farmplan, the UK’s largest agricultural software supplier and the CLA – the membership organisation for owners of land, property and business in rural England and Wales.

Andrew Heskin, an agricultural specialist and partner at Moore Thompson, said: “2019 looks like it may be a challenging year for the UK’s farming sector, so we are offering them the opportunity to come to hear from some of the UK’s leading experts on a wide range of topics, which could help ease the stress they are experiencing.”

“We really hope that members of the local rural business community in the East Midlands will join us for this important conference,” added Andrew.
