Spalding buses will be delayed due to roadworks on Halmer Gate

A bus company has warned that services will be delayed due to a busy Spalding being 'gridlocked'.

Openreach is undertaking repairs in Halmer Gate and has set up traffic lights in the area - which is now affecting the morning rush hour as parents drop children off at Spalding Academy and Spalding High School.

Brylaine says the road works are also affecting its services.

A spokesman said: "Services out of Spalding B13 / K59 will be slightly delayed this morning due to Halmer Gate being gridlocked."

Motorists had raised concerns about the traffic management over social media last night.
