Burst water main repairs in Pinchbeck to continue throughout the weekend
Works to repair a burst water main in Pinchbeck will need to carry on throughout the weekend - forcing a busy village road to stay shut.
An emergency closure of Knight Street began on Wednesday night after a problem with a leaking pipe was discovered.
Anglian Water says its team will be working on a fix throughout the night - and that some residents may experience a temporary loss of supply this evening as a result.
A spokesman said: "Our teams are currently repairing a burst water main on Knight Street in Pinchbeck. The repair is still underway and our team will be carrying out work overnight tonight (27 Aug). Some customers may see a temporary loss of water later this evening after 10pm while this work is carried out however this should last approximately an hour.
“We have closed Knight Street to ensure the safety of local road users and our teams, and this will remain in place over the weekend while work continues. However a full diversion route is in place.
"We'd like to thank our customers and road users for their patience while we carry out this emergency work."
Knight Street's businesses remain open.
