Holbeach family appeals for return of rare bike after garden theft
A family is appealing for help in the return of a rare bike after their garden was raided by burglars.
Richard and Jemma Baguley are angry that thieves brazenly went through their garden and summer house at their home in King George V Avenue, Holbeach on Tuesday evening.
One of the burglars, a man who was 6ft, ran off through a neighbour's home after being discovered.
Mrs Baguely is putting out an appeal to find the limited edition Mafia Madmain BMX, which she had bought for her husband last year.
The family are also reeling after 13-year-old daughter Lily's disco equipment was stolen from the summerhouse along with spirits and even a pineapple shaped plug-in scent dispenser.
Mrs Baguely said: "I bought the bike for Richard last Christmas. It was the colours he wanted and as it was a limited edition last year, I am never going to buy another.
"It is important tome to get that bike back.
"We are so angry. We don't go to work and volunteer at charity things for someone to come in and do this."
They discovered the burglary at 7.30pm when Mr Baguley let the family dogs out.
She said: "The kids had just gone to bed and it was so quiet. My husband opened the back door to let the dogs out and that is when we heard all of the shouting."
Mrs Baguely believes there must have been more than one person involved in the theft.
She said: "All they left was the sofas in the summer house."
Police are advising people to ensure that outbuildings are locked.
