Moulton Seas End construction firm D Brown (Building Contractors) Ltd is in line for national recognition after reaching the finals of a top UK industry award.
The firm is one of eight candidates in the Outstanding Development of the Year up to 24 homes category at the UK Housing Awards to be held in London on April 21.
D Brown was put forward for its work on the so-called “curvy homes” development in Northfield Crescent, Ruskington, near Sleaford, in partnership with North Kesteven District Council and Chaplin Farrant Architects of Norwich and Cambridge.
Des Ford of D Brown Ltd said: “The client who we built the homes for put us forward and we’re ecstatic about being nominated for the award.
“It’s a nice compliment to be recognised by the industry and it’s representative of what we do, day in and day out, which is providing our clients with a first-class product.”
The UK Housing Awards, jointly organised by the Chartered Institute of Housing and Inside Housing magazine, recognise achievements in social housing.
Almost 700 senior executives from the housing industry are expected at the awards to be hosted by TV presenter Sandi Toksvig.
Emma Maier, editor of Inside Housing, said: “The quality of entries rose again this year so to even get this far, in the face of some really stiff competition, is an amazing achievement.
“D Brown (Building Contractors) Ltd has shown that it is performing at the highest level so well done.”
