Spalding traffic halted due to broken barrier

Traffic in Spalding was brought to a standstill earlier today due to a level crossing barrier becoming stuck.

Network Rail engineers were called to the crossing in Winsover Road after receiving reports of a problem with the barrier at 8am.

The barrier was stuck and blocking the road to traffic.

Engineers had the problem resolved by 9.30am.

The issue created minor delays to train services.
