CHILDREN in south Lincolnshire understand all about caring and sharing and have been showing that by filling shoe boxes.

Both Weston Hills C of E Primary School and St John’s School in Spalding have filled boxes in response to the Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child.

At Weston Hills, parents and children were asked to send a gift of love to children around the world by making up a shoe box filled with gifts.

Pupils at Holbeach Bank Primary School also filled boxes, this time with goodies to send to troops serving in Afghanistan over Christmas. Customers and the landlady from the Bull’s Neck public house joined in, creating fabulous boxes full of gifts – incluyding Christmas cards with well wishes from everyone.
