Bookmark of Spalding will not reopen on April 12

A popular Spalding store says it will be reopening in May.

Bookmark of Spalding has announced that it will not be joining the other non-essential retail stores in opening its doors on Monday next week but will hold off until May 17.

Non-essential retail is due to reopen on Monday under the latest stage of the Prime Minister's roadmap out of lockdown with restaurants later this month.

Bookmark's Facebook post: "Due to the continuing Covid situation we have made the decision not to reopen Bookmark on April 12th, but to keep it closed until the café is also allowed to reopen.

"The provisional date for this is May 17 but this is subject to change if the Government’s targets are not met.

"We would like to thank all our customers for your continuing support and we look forward to seeing you all in May."
