Developers of sites in Moulton Chapel and Weston ask South Holland District Council to remove affordable housing elements of planning permission as they are unable to gain interest from registered social landlords
Two developers have applied to remove the affordable housing section of their planning permissions after they say they were being unable to gain interest from registered social landlords.
Seagate Homes and Postland Developments have asked South Holland District Council to modify the planning permissions for sites in Weston and Moulton Chapel by removing the section 106 (S106) agreement to provide affordable homes.
The firms have reported that there was either no interest in the units or had received offers which did not cover the cost of building.
