LEARN MOREVolunteers have ensured that parts of Holbeach is looking blooming marvellous.
Mark and Helen Murfet gave up a weekend to plant up All Saints Churchyard and the county council owned area opposite.
The William Stukeley School open space was also spruced up, along with planters in Boston Road, Station Road, Fleet street and Market Hill.
The planting has been funded by a £500 donation from Chosen and £400 from the parish council budgets.
Mr Murfet, a parish councillor who is pictured above with wife Helen and Sam Favell, has thanked Chosen and said the planting had gone down well with the public.
He said: “A young girl who could not have been more than five or six shouted ‘Thank you for all our lovely celebration’ out of a car window. This sort of comment not only melts your heart but is so rewarding and a true reason to get involved and do it.”
