TANDEM cyclists Rex Crowden and Tom Webster rode from Mablethorpe to Billingborough to raise £3,200 for the Lincolnsihire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

The intrepid pair were helped by a back-up team of Mr Crowden’s partner Liz Wilkinson, who helped him organise the event, and Pete and Jackie Thorpe.

The presentation to the Air Ambulance was made by Mr Crowden to Val Midgley at the Fortescue Arms in Billingborough, where the charity escapade was planned.

Money was raised through sponsorship, raffles and donations, a dance at the British Legion hall.

The group thanked Phil Brown Roofing for the donation of safety jackets.
