Spalding-area beacons will be lit to begin Jubilee celebrations

There will be a host of events taking place on Thursday (June 2) to get the Jubilee celebrations off to an impressive start.

Thousands of community beacons will be lit across the country at 9:45pm, including several in our district, to celebrate the Queen’s historic milestone

The events will take place at:

  • Holbeach St Marks Village Hall and Recreation Ground
  • Wignal’s Gate Beacon, Holbeach
  • Winfrey Park, Long Sutton
  • Moulton Seas End Beacon
  • Moulton Beacon (land close to the Community Centre)
  • St Mary’s Church Hall, Pinchbeck
  • Ayscoughfee Gardens, Spalding
  • Glen Park, Surfleet
  • Memorial Park, Sutton Bridge

There will also be a number of activities taking place before the ceremonies, including a lantern parade in Moulton, a large celebratory event in Surfleet and a cheese and wine event at Moulton Seas End village hall.
