Sutton Bridge Jubilee Beacon was an 'embarrassment' says reader while calls grow for South Holland and Deepings MP Sir John Hayes to comment on party gate

Sutton Bridge Parish Council or whoever organised the beacon lighting, has brought shame and embarrassment on the village once again.

It’s bad enough at Christmas when less than a dozen lights are stuck on lamp posts at the top of the village but the beacon is a new embarrassing low.

It was bad enough being what it was, but they couldn’t get it lit and the fireworks only lasted 1.5 minutes. The sky was still too bright at 9:22pm.
