A two-day antiques fair at Baytree Garden Centre in Weston was buzzing with customers browsing and buying from 45 stalls.

Organiser Iain Anderson, of 3 Pieces of Eight Antiques, said: “It was a raging success. We’ve had nothing but positive comments, not only from the customers who were walking round but from stallholders as well.

“It was literally buzzing from the moment we opened to the moment we closed. I think every other person that came went home with something they wanted from the stalls.”

Iain sells antiques at Baytree seven days a week in a building shared with David and Annmarie Carter, of Funked Up Furniture, and was glad to welcome so many dealers to the centre for the fair.

He said buyers could find “anything and everything” from the stalls, and he spotted some interesting WW2 memorabilia, including a decommissioned firearm and a German motorcycle helmet.

The fair’s success led to Iain being invited to stage another one in Whittlesey on March 18 to help a charity there.
