Surfleet club welcomes BBC Bargain Hunt auctioneer to meeting
Surfleet Ladybirds Club welcomed esteemed auctioneer Colin Young to their meeting last week.
The BBC star visited the Fraiser Room, next to Surfleet Church, last Tuesday as their first public speaker since lockdowns were lifted.
Mr Young has been in the auctioneering profession since 1986, and was first hired as an expert on the award-winning BBC antiques show Bargain Hunt in 2002.
He delivered a speech at the event, with non-members welcomed to come along as well.
Ladybirds secretary Heather Girdlestone said: “He was very entertaining.
“We had 41 members there. He was an excellent speaker.
“He spoke about life through Covid, really. About how he coped, how his business coped.”
