Bakkavor’s family fun day and Party in the Park was another day of fun and excitement for the workers from all different Bakkavor sites.

This year was one of the best so far and included Roger Tuby’s fairground rides.

Main event during the day was an It’s a Knockout contest. With many slippery and wet obstacles the teams clashed against each other as they had their speed and wits tested to the max.

In the evening we had a fabulous concert hosted by the ever funny Ali Jay who got us all set for a great night of music from ABBA Gold, Radius 45 and Spalding town centre manager Dennis Hannant at the start of the show. It ended with a magnificent firework display.

On Sunday, in association with The Spalding and Welland Rotary Club, we had a car boot sale. With various pitches there was something for everyone and all proceeds went to three local charities: Spalding Guide Dogs for the Blind, South Holland Phab and Spalding Breakfast Club.

Of course, we couldn’t finish without saying a huge thank you and a massive well done to everyone who was involved in organising a great weekend of entertainment for everyone.

If you would like to listen to the event tune in to Tulip Radio on Saturday, when you can hear it all again, with fabulous local talent not to be missed.
