Donington Market Place time-limited parking on ice for now

Time-limited parking in Donington Market Place is on ice until the parish council finds a new company to ‘police’ it.

It’s a year since traders changed the council’s mind so it would allow four-hour waits in the main body of the car park - instead of three hours - while a few spaces along a wall in front of Seng House would be restricted to 30 minutes.

The council’s idea was to stop drivers, including business people and shopworkers, from hogging the free spaces for hours on end and create a greater turnover of potential customers to benefit traders.
