Spalding High school students honoured last year’s Year 11 students and their excellent GCSE results with an afternoon of celebration.
Alongside the presentation for GCSE certificates were awards for contributions to sport, music and school life. Subject-specific awards were also celebrated.
The afternoon comprised speeches, presentations and music performed by students.
It was an enjoyable way to celebrate the hard work and achievements of those taking GCSEs, most of whom have returned to pursue their studies in Sixth Form.
Headmistress Michele Anderson said: “It was a pleasure to see our students both past and present receive their GCSE certificates and awards.
“This afternoon provides a wonderful opportunity to formally recognise the hard work of out students.
“We had an excellent presentation from students covering a wide variety of subjects, sporting achievements and extra-curricular events along with wonderful musical items from Jade Lin, Amber Oddie and Mr Garbett. Well done to everyone.”
