Spalding and Holbeach Macmillan Cancer Support fund raising committee was presented with an award on Monday, March 14, at a celebration evening at the Old Palace at Lincoln Cathedral.
Some of the committee members attended a reception hosted by the Bishop of Lincoln, the Rt Rev Christopher Lowson, and received an award for being one of two of Lincolnshire’s most established committees of over 45 years.
Tanya Taylor, fund raising manager for Lincolnshire said: “During this time this incredible group of individuals has built strong links with their local community and have raised in excess of £2 million. They have all taken part in a calendar of events which has been exhaustive. They have contributed to the annual Midsummer Ball which is now in its 21st year and has raised over £153,000 for Macmillan.”
