Auditions for South Holland’s latest home produced movie will take place next month.

Holbeach writer, actor and director Steph Genovese, who is building on the success of his first project Dishonoured, is preparing to start casting for his next venture – a rom com with the working title Forever Your Rose.

As well as budding actors Steph is also keen to hear from anyone with an interest in working behind the camera and is especially looking for sound engineers and recordist, lighting experts, script supervisors and people to work in continuity.

Other roles up for grabs include grips, assistant cameramen, assistant directors, personal assistants and runners.

“We have a great crew already, but are always looking to add to it, so if you would like to be a part of our production crew please do come and see us,” he added.

The feature, which revolves around a multi-millionaire who has everything in his life except someone special, is due to be shot locally in Spalding, Holbeach and Fleet, as well as further afield in Cornwall and London.

Steph, who is currently reprising the role of Jurgen in Sky’s Fortitude series two, also hopes to film some opening sequences at 10 Downing Street.

As with Dishonoured all those involved are giving up their time for free.

Steph will take the lead role of Jack Green – a highly intelligent character who has no clue about relationships – while others on offer include a mix of speaking and background roles.

Some of the characters to be cast include Oliver the Tramp, TV news presenters and a fitness instructor.

Steph launched the Holbeach Film Company last year in a bid to give other aspiring actors a break by producing his own films right here in Lincolnshire.

• Auditions are at the Women’s Institute Hall, Park Road, Holbeach, on Saturday, April 16, from 1pm-2pm for crew and 2.15pm-6pm for actors.
